NEIL STUTES
Neil Stutes spent most of his life not feeling like enough. Low self-confidence followed him through the oil fields, through restaurant management, through 15,000 pharmaceutical deliveries across Lafayette. He showed up every day — worked hard, took care of people — but struggled with how he saw himself.
Then he found the barbershop. Not just as a place to get a cut — but as a culture. A space where a man sits down with the full weight of his week and stands up feeling reset. Sharp. Present. Like himself again. Neil felt that transformation personally. He watched it happen to the men around him. And he couldn't stop thinking about why that feeling never lasted beyond the door.
So he walked away from the safety of traditional work and built something around that gap. Not because it was the easy path — because it was the only one that made sense. Groomed Gent Co. is the brand he needed when he was still figuring himself out. He's building it so other men don't have to figure it out alone.

Managing high-volume restaurant operations. Learning people. Learning pressure. Learning how to lead when everything is moving fast and nothing is going right. Skills that never show up on a résumé but show up in everything.
THE APOTHECARY SHOPPE
3.5 years. 15,000+ deliveries across Lafayette. Patient-facing pharmaceutical work that put Neil in front of real people managing real health challenges — and showed him firsthand how deeply wellness and daily life are connected.
THE FILM SET
Background work on Free State of Jones with Matthew McConaughey. Present on set — but not fully present in himself yet. A reminder that life doesn't wait for you to be ready. And that sometimes the most important thing you can build is the man who shows up.

This is where it changed. Not one moment — a pattern. A man sits down carrying everything. He stands up different. Neil felt it. He watched it happen to others. He decided to build something that kept that feeling alive.
